Samsung S25 series rumors and expectations

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series, expected to be launched in early 2025, is already generating a lot of interest among technology enthusiasts. According to available information, this series brings significant improvements in design, performance, and functionality.

Release date and availability

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025, along with the Plus and Ultra versions. Based on past practice, the devices could be available for sale a week after the launch.

Design and screen

The Galaxy S25 series features a refreshed design with more rounded edges, making the device more comfortable to hold. The Ultra model will feature a 6.9-inch display, while the standard model will feature a 6.17-inch display. Both models will use AMOLED technology with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing improved brightness and color accuracy.

Hardware performance

All models in the Galaxy S25 series will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which promises top-notch performance and power efficiency. The Ultra model will have up to 16GB of RAM and storage options of up to 1TB, while the standard models will have 12GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Camera

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the 200MP main camera, with an upgrade to the telephoto lens with a 50MP sensor that enables up to 5x optical zoom. The ultra-wide-angle camera will also be upgraded with a 50MP sensor and a larger aperture for better low-light performance.

Battery and charging

The Ultra model will have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Also, the implementation of the Qi2 standard for wireless charging will allow the use of magnetic accessories, similar to Apple’s MagSafe technology, which will improve the wireless charging experience.

Software and functionalities

The Galaxy S25 series will debut with One UI 7 based on Android 15, bringing a more intuitive user experience, AI-powered tools, and new features like call transcription and improved assisted writing.

Prices and models

Samsung is expected to launch three main models: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Pricing in Europe should be similar to the previous generation, with the standard model starting at €899 for the 128GB version, while the Ultra model with 1TB of storage could reach €1,809.

Although this information is based on rumors and leaks, it is clear that Samsung is planning significant improvements with the Galaxy S25 series, aiming to maintain its leadership position in the smartphone market in 2025.
